Apple iPhone 8 to be More Expensive Than iPhone 7S, 7S Plus

According to latest rumors, Apple is ready to introduce an iPhone that is truly reinvented, with reliable sources claiming some radical new features never seen before in smartphones.

Rumored Features of the iPhone 8

As expected, these new iPhones will have better cameras, the latest chipsets, and a new color option will be added. This new color is red. These aren't too ground-breaking; more of the anticipated iterations from the previous version.

However, Ming-Chi Kuo of KGI Securities said that only the iPhone 7S and iPhone 7S Plus will be the only based models to be introduced next year; Apple will include an entirely new iPhone 8, with a revamped design among other new features.

Kuo adds that the iPhone 8 will have an OLED display, wireless charging, and no home button. This strategy works well for customers who want to see a revolutionary new iPhone for its tenth anniversary, but also keeps loyal customers who want to stick with the original design with the iPhone 7S or 7S Plus.

Estimated Price of the iPhone 8

The most recent rumor regarding the Apple iPhone 8 has to do with revelations about its pricing. Two reliable sources, Mat Otakara and Ming-Chi Kuo of KGI Securities, shared information about how much it will cost you to buy this new and much anticipated Apple iPhone.

The Apple iPhone 7S and iPhone 7S Plus will probably keep the same price range that the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus have, which is around $649 to $969, depending on chosen specifications.

For now, analysts can only speculate how much the iPhone 8 will cost, but one good estimate is that the iPhone 8 will be $150 to $250 more expensive than the iPhone 7S Plus. If sales are successful, the iPhone 8 will help the company gain back some revenue it has lost in recent months.

In fact, according to MacWorld, in the Q4 2016 earnings report, "iPhone sales are down; Mac sales are down; overall revenue and profit are down again. Yet Time Cook acclaimed what he called strong quarter results, capping "a very successful fiscal 2016.""
