Apple's iOS 8.4 to Start Seeding June 30; Version Includes Revised Music App and Other Updates

Apple recently announced that it will begin seeding the new iOS 8.4 at 8 AM Pacific time this upcoming Tuesday, June 30.

A report from Phone Arena indicated that this new build of mobile OS from the Cupertino-based tech giant will feature the recently revised Music app that will include the Apple Music streaming music service.

Expectations are already set high for the company's latest media offering which will feature the DJs from major world cities like Zane Lowe from Los Angeles, Ebro Darden from New York and Julie Adenuga over at London. It will also feature shows and interviews including that with Dr. Dre, Drake, and Elton John. The radio station, which kicks off later on Tuesday, will be heard in over 100 countries.

Getting more into the details, users are entitled access to the premium music streaming service from Apple for free for the first three months. After expiration date, Apple Music subscription would then cost $9.99 a month.

Bulk usage can also be enjoyed via its family subscription option which is priced at $14.99 a month. The fee would cover up to six users.

Other than that, the Apple Music will also give users access to Connect – a social media-like platform specifically designed for artists. Here they can interact with fans, share information, and update events.

Furthermore, Apple's SVP Eddy Cue dished out some tidbits about the music service on his social media account.

The executive revealed that that the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus maker will see to it to increase the iTunes Match song limit, from 25,000 to 100,000 songs, when the iOS 9 is released this fall.
