Arnold Schwarzenegger Birthday Today, Turns 65

Arnold Schwarzenegger's birthday has arrived on Monday and the former California governor is celebrating his 65th year.

The actor celebrated his milestone birthday with friends during a bike ride along Venice Beach, Calif. and by enjoying a special lunch, according to TMZ. His friends sang him "Happy Birthday" at Cafe Roma, where Schwarzenegger frequently dines for lunch.

The Austrian native was born on July 30, 1947 and first gained fame as a body builder. His sharp features and muscular build helped Schwarzenegger achieve his dream to become a star in the U.S. His breakthrough role into acting arrived in 1982's "Conan the Barbarian."

Schwarzenegger went on to star in the "Terminator" film series, and solidified himself into Hollywood royalty.

After marrying the niece of President John F. Kennedy, Maria Shriver, Schwarzenegger's ambition did not decrease. In 2003, he was elected Governor of California, which he held until 2011.

The actor's successes did not arrive without personal struggles, though. After 25 years of marriage in 2011, it was revealed that Schwarzenegger fathered a son more than 14 years earlier with an employee in he and Shriver's household- Mildred "Patty" Baena.
During his birthday last year, Schwarzenegger was spotted celebrating in Beverly Hills alongside Shriver, despite them having filed for a divorce just one month earlier. They were joined by two of their four children, sons Patrick and Christopher.

More recently, although his divorce from Shriver is not finalized, Schwarzenegger has been spotted with a young brunette woman. The mystery female appeared with the former governor at a party in West Hollywood earlier this month, but left separately at the end of the night.

Photographers at the event asked Schwarzenegger about his marriage to Shriver, to which he replied openly. The actor said that the divorce will occur in the very near future, despite his having "begged" his wife to "take him back" following the news of his infidelity.

The Austrian actor noted the divorce had been postponed because Shriver supposedly "changed her mind constantly."

While his personal life seems to be calming down, Schwarzenegger has reignited his acting career. He and former fellow action hero actor Sylvester Stallone will star in a new movie together, "The Expendables 2," in theaters Aug. 17.
