'Arrow' news, spoilers: season 4 next episode 'Canary Cry' return date, Felicity rejoining team, Laurel alive?

After being hit hard with Laurel's death in the last episode of "Arrow" season two, Oliver and Team Arrow found it hard to deal with the situation. Diggle is especially feeling guilty for their loss, after believing Andy had changed for the better. As he and the team get cut up with their grief in the upcoming episode of the show entitled, "Canary Cry," there may also be a bright side to it. Meantime, Lance cannot accept that his daughter Laurel is really dead.

The return of Felicity has also been teased in the next episode, the 19th, although there will be two issues to be considered for her return. The show's executive producer, Marc Guggenheim, has said on TV Line, "She's broken up with Oliver and she's also broken up with the team essentially. And in Episode 19, we'll see the undoing of one of those decisions."

Showrunner Wendy Mericle takes up the thread, "One does not mean the other is going to happen."

And so it can only be one or the other. Either she gets back with Oliver, which can have Olicity fans rejoicing, or she gets back in with the team, which would be a real boost with one person short.

But Felicity herself has something to say about a reunion with the team, despite Thea's urging. In the episode, "Beacon of Hope," aired on March 30, she showed an unwillingness to get back together with Team Arrow and has another way in mind of offering "hope" to others. She was referring to the biotechnology that produced the chip which allowed her to regain her ability to walk.

Earlier in the season, Felicity may have shown the desire to be together with the team again because what the team did resonated with her. But it had nothing to do with her romance with Oliver, finished or not. As the season draws to a close, Guggenheim indicated, with regard to the Olicity angle, that "People will have to see if things change or not change."

The much-awaited episode will see the return of Nyssa al Ghul, played by the actress Katrina Law as a guest on the installment. Lance seeks her help to get Laurel back, as he finds it impossible to come to terms with her death.

The episode will also see first appearance of a new character Rebecca, to be portrayed by Madison McLaughlin. It will also be Dinah Lance's first appearance in this season.

Despite the funeral to be held at the showing of this next episode, some speculate that Laurel's death is not real, that she will be returning. A sighting of the Black Canary in Star City may offer a possibility, but then, it has also been reported that a new Black Canary shall be introduced in episode 19.

The much-awaited next episode will air on April 27 yet.
