'Arrow' Season 4 News, Cast, Spoilers: Roy Harper Coming Back To The Show
Perhaps one of the saddest character departures in "Arrow" happened at the end of season 3 when Roy Harper left the red sidekick role and moved on. Many fans were quite disappointed to see him go as they felt it was too soon for actor Colton Haynes to exit the show. However, recent news now reveal that Haynes will be reprising his role as the Red Arrow.
According to Screen Rant, Roy's return was confirmed by Haynes himself in a tweet he made last Nov. 21. He posted, "Just landed in Vancouver to...BEGIN FILMING ON #ARROW AGAIN!!! So excited!!!"
There is no news yet as to how Roy will return to the show — whether he will be seen fighting side-by-side Oliver or be simply assisting the team. If Roy does make a comeback, then an outfit might be a problem as fans already know that he has given his suit to Thea Queen, played by Willa Holland.
Moreover, many speculate that Roy's return may all be because of Thea Queen. Thea has obviously been struggling after her return from the Lazarus Pit, and according to speculations, Roy's experience with the Mirakuru will serve as a common ground for the two ex-lovers, thus will help Thea make sense of who she really is. With that, it is expected that the two may rekindle an old flame, which would make an interesting story line since Thea is currently seeing Alex Davis (Parker Young).
Despite the good news, it seems that Hayne's comeback will be short-lived as he is only set to appear in episode 12, which still remains untitled as of now.
Season 4 of "Arrow" will return on Dec. 2 at 8 p.m. on The CW.
