'Arrow' season 4 spoilers: New city name and more 'Olicity' moments

"Arrow" season 4 is definitely gearing up to be the most exciting yet. Following a very dark season 3, the show will head into a direction that seemingly pulls inspiration from its comic book counterpart, while the characters continue on to adjust to the new roles they have taken.

First of the major changes would be the official change of Starling City's name to "Star City." It seems like the series is trying to embrace its source material, to the extent that it has already even changed its name, as well as "Green Arrow" with a much more accurate costume. According to Comic Book, the renaming of the city was confirmed when Paul Blackthorrne, who plays Quentin Lance, uploaded a photo showing off his Star City badge.

One of the things that many fans look forward to is seeing the old Felicity, played by Emily Bett Rickards. In the last season, "funny" Felicity seemed to have gotten lost in the midst of all the murders as well as in Oliver's death. Show co-runner March Guggenheim told TVLine, "The show got really, really dark last year, and I think she reacted accordingly." Since the new season will be picking up five months from since last season's finale, she would finally be able to let go of what has happened and revert to her old self prone to vocal expressions of awkward and unfiltered thoughts. She will also be moving forward with her new relationship with Oliver.

On Felicity and Oliver's relationship, Guggenheim also shared that we can expect to see more loving moments between the two; however, there will be more implied connection such as through "body language" rather than obvious intimacy. "The show is still the show. Like, when Oliver and Felicity are together at her workstation, now he's got his hand on her shoulder. It's a difference of degrees. Basically, we're treating them like two coworkers who started dating."

The fourth season of Arrow will premiere on Oct. 7 on The CW.
