Ashley Tisdale Engagement Ring Debuted
Ashley Tisdale got engaged to Christopher French early this month, but finally revealed her sparkling engagement ring on Tuesday.
The 28-year-old actress said "yes" to French following an elaborate proposal atop New York City's Empire State Building on Aug. 8.
Then, on Tuesday, the newly engaged pair was spotted walking in the Toluca Lake area of Los Angeles where Tisdale debuted a large diamond engagement ring, according to the Daily Mail.
French, a musician, proposed to the "High School Musical" star almost a year after they began dating.
"Best night of my life," Tisdale posted to Twitter on Aug. 8. "We're on top of the world."
The actress' tweet fell in line with reports that the proposal occurred at the iconic landmark.
"It happened on the 103rd floor at the top of the Empire State Building," said a source close to the couple, according to Life & Style magazine. "It was totally romantic and Ashley's over the moon, of course!"
Following the happy news, Tisdale took to Twitter again to thank fans for their congratulations.
"Thank you guys for all your well wishes,' posted the star. "Means so much to me. We're so grateful and excited. #imthehappiestgirlintheworld."
Meanwhile, the marriage will be the first for both.
It comes as no surprise that Tisdale is marrying the musician, according to a source close to the star.
"She likes those rocker types," said the insider, according to Us Weekly.
As for how Tisdale met French: "They have mutual friends and just met through hanging out," said the source.
Tisdale, who is best known for her roles in the "High School Musical" film series as well as the movie "Scary Movie 5," will appear next in "Left Behind" alongside Nicholas Cage.
"I'm super excited to be doing a movie called 'Left Behind' with Nicholas Cage," said Tisdale speaking to Hollywood Crush in April. "I play his daughter, and it's a drama, so it's completely different from [the comedy 'Scary Movie 5']."
"I've always loved drama and comedy," the actress added. "But I think it's good to switch it up to show your range."
