Asus Chromebook C300: Features, Specs and Price Revealed

Chromebooks are not just a passing fad -- these new laptops are here to stay as more and more companies are manufacturing their own versions of this device, and one of the most lauded Chrome OS laptops to date is Asus' Chromebook C300.

The C300 has a matte chassis which comes in bright blue, yellow, red, or black, and the variety of colors make it a fun choice as a gift for teenagers or children this holiday season. It measures 0.8 x 13 x 9 inches and weighs 2.97 pounds, so it's easy to take it anywhere.

The C300's 13-inch display is larger than other Chromebooks in the market, with a 1366 x 768 resolution. It's powered by the Intel Bay-Trail Celeron 2.16GHz dual-core processor with 2GB of RAM. Unfortunately, it's internal storage is scant at 16GB, but can be expanded through the Chromebook's SDcard slot.

Google also offers a 60-day Google Play All Access subscription and 100GB of Google Drive storage for two years. As a bonus, Google Drive has a Chromebook exclusive holiday special -- free 1TB of storage for two years if one registers beore Jan. 1.

One of the major highlights of the C300 is its battery life, which can last up to 11 hours on a single charge. It also has powerful speakers on either side, and it emits loud and clear sounds with minimum distortion.

Those who are looking to get a great quality Chromebook with a large screen at an affordable price should definitely consider the Asus Chromebook C300. The Chromebook is available for only $249.
