Axl Rose Death Hoax News, Update: Rock Band Front Man Debunk Rumors With Tweet
Apparently, the Guns N' Roses front man is alive and well despite the hoax perpetuated about his passing.
To debunk such rumors, Axl Rose took to his social media yesterday to post a rather amusing tweet to prove he still exists.
"If I'm dead do I still have to pay taxes?" he was quoted as saying. The Twitter post garnered over 2,500 retweets and another couple of thousand favorites from fans who appears to be amused with the message posted.
He later posted a photo showing a computer screen sitting atop a mixing board displaying what seems to be a ghostly apparition.
A photo of the 52-year-old vocalist also appeared on the Guns N' Roses official fan page with the captions saying:
"Ha! They say I'm dead -- again… Wait, what? …It's a hoax. Guys. Get a life at ParadiseCity.com."
The "Sweet Child O' Mine" singer is the latest personality to fall victim to a death hoax that has spread fast all throughout the various social media platform.
The rumors, according to The Hollywood Reporter, spread earlier this week after the news about his alleged demise was picked up by a fake MSNBC site. The report led fans to post condolences online including on Facebook and Twitter.
The mentioned bogus site, as THR reported, is the same site that has also posted a false claim about the death of actor Macaulay Culkin last month.
In response to the internet death hoax, the 'Home Alone' star posted a photo of himself and a friend while making a reference to the film "Weekend at Bernie's."
