Hip hop mogul Shawn "Jay-Z" Carter has spoken out about his baby girl Blue Ivy and admits that he and wife Beyonce Knowles will have trouble saying no to their first child as she grows older.
The normally private 42-year-old opened up about the issues of parenthood in a special edition of "Oprah's Master Class," which recently aired on the OWN network.
"I imagine I'll take things I learned from my mom and things I've learned from raising my nephews and apply that. Then at the end of the day, I just know I'll probably have the worst, spoiled little kid ever," Jay-Z said on "Oprah's Master Class" program.
Jay-Z, who welcomed the birth of his daughter on January 7, is prepared for the challenges that he and Beyonce may face as Blue Ivy grows older.
"Everyone imagines they'll be a great dad until their [children are] teenagers. [They say], 'Get away from me, Dad. You're embarrassing me!'" he said.
The couple, who has been married for four years, reportedly spent at least $1.5 million on Blue Ivy's nursery, according to The New York Post.
Among the lavish nursery items is a $600,000 solid gold, handmade rocking horse from Japanese jeweler Ginza Tanaka; a $19,995 Fantasy Carriage crib from PoshTots; a $15,000 Swarovski crystal-studded highchair designed by Carla Monchen; and a $285 Jean Paul Gaultier silk bib to burp on.
After celebrating their fourth wedding anniversary on April 4, the renowned couple reportedly decided that they are ready to have a second child.
"They see no reason to wait. It took them a while to conceive Blue Ivy, so they don't want to waste another second," a source told Star Magazine.
"Beyonce and Jay-Z adore being parents, and they're as hands-on as they possibly can be. Beyonce has found a passion other than music, and it's being a mom," the insider added.
The couple recently took a family vacation in St. Barts, where they reportedly discussed having another child.
Beyonce, 30, previously spoke about the joys of motherhood and how giving birth to Blue Ivy has changed her life.
"Nothing can describe the feeling. You have the instant connection once you know your child is growing inside you, but when you hold it for the first time, the words can't be found," Beyonce gushed to Star U.K.
