'Big Brother' season 17 spoilers: The final 3 have been named

On the next episode of "Big Brother," there will be a special recap that will show the highlights of the season. And then on Wednesday, Sept. 23, it's the live finale as one of the houseguests wins it all.

Based on the live feeds, the final 3 HoH was a very long endurance competition with a carnival theme. Steve, Liz, and Vanessa battled it out for a place in the final HoH competition that will take place during the live finale, while the other two take part in another competition to determine who goes up against the other one. Vanessa won the first part of the HoH. However, the second part has not yet happened.

Last Tuesday was a special eviction episode that blindsided the houseguests. The episode began where Sunday's episode left off right after the nomination ceremony. Steve was disappointed that Vanessa chose to stick with the showmance of Austin and Liz. Vanessa cried over her decision, and Steve went to her and gave her a hug telling her that they are still friends no matter what.

John has gone crazy and he talked to Austin about throwing the Veto competition to either him or Liz. During the Veto competition, John saw that Steve was close to winning and he pulled out all the stops and he won the Veto. John pulled himself off the block during the Veto meeting and Vanessa nominated Austin in his place.

The live vote ended in a tie that forced Vanessa to make the call and evict someone. Austin got evicted in fifth place, and a new HoH competition began. Steve won the HoH by accident.

Last Wednesday was another live eviction night as the final 3 were named. The episode began after Steve won the HoH competition. Steve nominated Vanessa and John for eviction, and Vanessa ended up winning the Power of Veto and pulled herself off the block. Liz was the automatic nominee, and Vanessa controlled the vote. Johnny Mac was evicted in fourth place.
