For Wal-Mart, which saw revenues decline this year, the holiday shopping season provides a great opportunity to resuscitate the ailing giant.

Analyst attribute the decline in revenues as owing to changes in customer attitude and behavior, such as less reliance on credit cards and more focus on cash purchases. Additionally, customers are said to be focused on using Wal-Mart in order to make big ticket purchases and other local stores for smaller items.

Accordingly the company’s sales are reported to have fallen by 0.5 percent to $71.1 billion.

For its online sale, Wal-Mart is boasting a list of television among other items which include Samsung 51” 720 600Hz Plasma HDTV at $498, Samsung 43” 720p 600Hz Plasma HDTV at $398, and Samsung 40” 1080p 60Hz LCD HDTV at $428.

These offers will be available only online, listed items will not be able to be purchased at their current price in Wal-Mart stores until Black Friday.

Experts expect stores to be crowded on Black Friday; therefore, this online offer could help alleviate some of the pressures of the first major shopping day of the Christmas season. Still Wal-Mart appears to be making every effort to allow customers the ability to access their merchandise.
