Bob Dylan Exhibit in Paris, New CD Set Coming This Year

Bob Dylan is the subject of a new photo exhibit in Paris and will also be releasing a new, complete CD box set later this year.

The popular folk artist and activist is prominently featured in a new collection displayed at the Cite de la Musique in Paris. Daniel Kramer, who toured with Dylan for four years, took photos of the singer. They are described as intimate and show the lesser-known Dylan: playing chess, walking alone on the sidewalk.

Dylan, of course, is a household name who grew in popularity alongside the civil rights movement. His musical hits include the hits "Blowin' in the Wind" and "The Times, They Are a-Changin."

His music changed over the years, from rock and roll to folk-art, which was symbolic of the time. In the notes of his CD set "Biography," Dylan noted: "The thing about rock and roll is that for me anyway it wasn't enough … the songs weren't serious or didn't reflect life in a realistic way."

Dylan remained true to his roots and is the focus of a new CD compilation by Amnesty International. "Chimes of Freedom: The Songs of Bob Dylan" features popular artists recording the icon's best-known music. Dylan himself has been an ardent supporter of Amnesty International and human rights.

His new CD set, which has no release date, will feature all of Dylan's music, including tracks never released. Roger Friedman, music critic for Forbes, has stated: "The massive box will be a Dylanographer's delight, collecting every single track."

Approximated to cost around $300, and including a code for free downloads of all the tracks, any Dylan fan should be excited to have this collection. Twitter fans continue to quote Dylan, and the 70-year-old has not failed to give the crowds what they want. He is currently on an international tour, next playing in Brazil.

While it's true that the times they are a-changin', it's clear that Dylan's popularity is not.
