Brandon Jacobs of the Giants Apologizes to Gisele Bundchen
New York Giants player Brandon Jacobs has apologized for his comments about Gisele Bundchen, the wife of the Patriots' quarterback Tom Brady.
The running back commented on Bundchen's criticism of Patriots following their 21-17 loss to the Giants at the Super Bowl on Sunday.
While exiting the stadium in Indianapolis Sunday, Bundchen responded to taunts from a Giants fan who yelled, "Eli owns your husband!" referring to the Giants' quarterback.

"My husband cannot f------ throw the ball and catch the ball at the same time," said Bundchen. "I can't believe they dropped the ball so many times," she added of the Patriots' Super Bowl performance.
Tuesday at the MetLife Stadium celebrating the Giant's Super Bowl victory, Jacobs opened up about the Bunchen's retort while speaking to reporters.
"She just needs to continue to be cute and shut up," said Jacobs of the Victoria's Secret model.
In retrospect, the running back retracted his comment.
"Given the fact that it's a colleague of mine's wife, I do apologize for saying that, because I shouldn't have said that," said Jacobs a day later on ESPN's "The Doug Gottlieb Show."
"It's his wife and I should respect that just as much as anyone else."
However, Jacobs did not retract his opinion of Bundchen's appearance.
"No question, [Brady] should take that as a compliment," said the Giants player. "If he finds something wrong with that, then that's his problem."
Bundchen and Brady wed in 2009 and share one son, Benjamin. Although she did not specifically name any Patriots players, Bundchen was likely referring to the team's wide receiver Wes Welker who was judged widely to have made the costliest fourth-quarter drop, and tight end Aaron Hernandez, who bungled a catch.
Brady, on the other hand did not place any blame on the team. During the post-game conference, the quarterback said he and Welker simply "failed to connect."
"Wes is a phenomenal player and a teammate," said Brady. "I love that guy."
