'Broad City' Season 4 Spoilers: What's In Store for Abbi and Trey After Their Reunion?
Last season, fans of "Broad City" saw how the unlikely relationship between two characters grew and then faltered. As their paths cross again, will they have another shot at love?
"Broad City" actor Paul W. Downs, who plays Trey and co-wrote this week's episode, recently sat down with Entertainment Weekly to talk about the much talked about reunion between Abbi and his character.
Their love story came to an end last season when Abbi (Abbi Jacobson) lied about their relationship to her best friend, Ilana (Ilana Glazer), which broke Trey's heart. He was Abbi's boss at Soulstice, and she ended up leaving her job, which made fans crave for some closure.

After some time, the two finally met again the series' latest installment.
"This episode gives closure to the heartbreak that happened last season. Abbi and Trey reconnect in more ways than one, and in more places than one," Downs said.
Talking to a relationship counselor, played by 1990s music icon Shania Twain, Abbi and Trey did not end up back together but finally found closure. However, fans are wondering if there is still hope that the two of them will fall in love again.
Downs explained that Trey will still play a big part in this season's story and will be very much "alive" in the "Broad City" world.
The actor added, "What it means for their relationship — nobody knows, truly. But what I can say is it's 'Broad City,' so really, anything's possible."
When the show's current season returns for its third episode next week, it is going to be filled with fun moments for the two girls.
According to the season 4 episode 3 description, Ilana will go on a spending spree with the money she earned from her waitress job, while Abbi will get very excited about her new relationship. Also, the two of them will be going to a party, where they said to bump into an old friend.
