'Brooklyn Nine-Nine' Season 3 Episode 2 Spoilers and Pilot Episode Recap: The New Captain Croaks

In the upcoming episode of "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" entitled "The Funeral," the official synopsis reads, another personnel change at the precinct could jeopardize Jake and Amy's nascent romance. Meanwhile, Terry helps Holt with a PR problem; and Rosa and Gina urge Charles to abandon his crush on a colleague.

In the promo for the episode, it would seem that Holt and Terry end up in a bar where they get drinks. Terry will get drunk and he will start doing crazy dances. The rest of the squad drinks to the death of their former new boss, who had worked himself to death. The episode might feature the funeral of the captain.

The pilot episode began where the previous season left off with the squad as they watched and waited for the elevators to open and reveal their new captain. The squad's new boss was named Seth Dozerman and he was a nose-to-the-grindstone workaholic perfectionist. In other words, he was the squad's worst nightmare. He marched out and spitted out orders immediately.

Jake and Amy kissed and agreed to keep things light and breezy between them. They agreed not to tell anyone on the squad and they had a few rules. They went out on a date that ended up being awkward. They ended up doing shots, which resulted in them breaking rule number 3. They ended up getting naked in bed.

Holt and Gina were seen in their new job. Wuntch had Holt wear the pigeon mascot and talk to some kids. Holt had taken a few months to name the pigeon mascot of the public relations office. Gina gave Holt a pep talk.

Jake and Captain Dozerman were getting along swimmingly until the captain caught Jake and Amy as they made out in the evidence locker, which gave him a heart attack. The captain died and he was carted off in a body bag. Jake and Amy decided to be friends instead. Detective Pembroke, also known as The Vulture, became the new captain.

"Brooklyn Nine-Nine" airs every Sunday.
