Carly Rae Jepsen's Confident Boyfriend Introduced

"Call Me Maybe" singer Carly Rae Jepsen has been spotted holding hands with a fellow musician Matthew Koma in New York City over the weekend.

The 26-year-old Canada native was also introduced as Koma's girlfriend while speaking with friends, according to a source close to Jepsen.

"He introduced her as his girlfriend," said the insider according to People magazine. "He seemed really excited about it, and she was smiling from ear to ear by his side during the introduction."

Signed to a album deal with Justin Bieber, Jepsen was catapulted into stardom with her hit song "Call Me Maybe." Although Jepsen was linked to Koma in the past, the singer avoided commenting on issues pertaining to her personal life.

During Saturday's annual Arthur Ashe Kids Day for the U.S. Open, Jepsen finally opened up about her boyfriend.

"I really like guys who have confidence, but not the cocky over-the-top confidence," said the singer, according to People. "Guys with the right type of confidence are really sexy."

When asked about her typical day with Koma, Jepsen explained some of their fun times together.

"I love to go on spontaneous dates and do things that we've never tried before or stay at home and make a homemade dinner," she said. "I really like to cook. One of my favorite things to make is homemade sushi. I know how to make the rolls and it's really fun to do."

Moreover, the Canadian "American Idol" alum revealed her significant other was "amazing and very supportive" while speaking to Australia's Dolly magazine.

"He makes me laugh every day and not always on purpose," she gushed, according to the magazine. "He's my guy."

Jepsen's "Call Me Maybe" continues to soar as a hit on many of today's charts, and the song has been parodied and covered by dozens of other artists as well as fans.

Her new album "Kiss" is scheduled for release Sept. 18.
