Carolina Panthers vs Philadelphia Eagles Live Stream: Watch NFL Monday Night Football Online (ESPN TV Start Time, Preview)

The Carolina Panthers will play the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday Night Football tonight in what should be a mouthwatering match up. The Eagles are flying high, but should not underestimate the potential of this Panthers team. Even though Carolina have not been getting the results of late there is no doubt they have the players and team to compete, and they will be desperate to claim a road win at Lincoln Financial Field in Pennsylvania tonight. The game will start at 8.30 p.m. ET and can be watched on TV on the ESPN network or online through ESPN live stream (details below).

The Eagles are currently top of the NFC East, managing to keep their noses in front of the Dallas Cowboys, who moved to 7-3 on Sunday with a 31-17 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The Carolina Panthers have had a tough time of it lately and have fallen all the way back to 3-5-1. That means that they are reaching the must-win stage of their season if they want to keep their postseason hopes alive and kicking.

The Panthers have not won a game since the beginning of October when they defeated the Chicago Bears 31-24. Since then they have gone four games without tasting victory, only managing a 37-37 tie with Cincinnati before falling to three straight defeats; 17-38 to the Green Bay Packers, 9-13 to the Seattle Seahawks, and 10-28 to the New Orleans Saints.

That has ravished their season and leaves them on the brink of relevancy to the postseason picture. However, the one shining light for them is that they are in the extremely weak NFC South, where not one team is even at .500.

At the moment the New Orleans Saints are leading the division with a 4-5 record, the Panthers' 3-5-1 is good enough for second place, where as the Atlanta Falcons are good for third with just 3-6, and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are in the basement with 1-8.

The simple poor quality of the teams in this division this season means that the Panthers are still very much in the race right now, although a few more losses could bring an end to that very quickly. But oppositely if they can re-find their form and pull out a string of wins they are likely to move back into the top spot and still have the chance of claiming the NFC South title.

Tonight's game will be a tough one though, and they will be coming up against one of the best teams in the NFL this season. The Eagles will feel the Dallas Cowboys breathing down their necks and will be desperate to win to maintain some space between them and their nearest division rivals.
