Chaz Bono Proposes Ahead of 'Being Chaz' Documentary

Chaz Bono has proposed to his long time partner Jennifer Elia, reports have confirmed.

The controversial Bono, who was recently in the spotlight on Dancing With the Stars, reportedly proposed to Elia in Seattle. Standing at the top of the Seattle space needle he apparently offers Elia an engagement ring as a birthday present.

Bono previously starred in an Emmy-nominated documentary “Becoming Chaz.” He is now set to launch new series “Being Chaz” on OWN Nov. 27.

Chaz Bono, born the daughter of pop star and actress Cher, has been a controversial figure having legally changed gender to become recognized as a man.

Bono became the first transgendered contestants on Dancing With the Stars this year. is the son of Cher and the late Sonny Bono and was born as Chastity Sun Bono in 1969. Chaz began his process of female-to-male gender transition a few years back and legally changed his gender and name in 2010.
