'Chicago P.D.' Season 3 Spoilers: Will a 'Linstead' Reunion Happen?

"Chicago P.D." Season 3 went off on an explosive start in September 30 and fans of the NBC police procedural are wondering if Detectives Lindsay and Halstead will have a romantic reunion soon.

While a "Linstead" part two is said to be forming in Season 3, exes Detective Erin Lindsay (Sophia Bush) and Detective Jay Halstead (Jesse Lee Soffer) may not be getting together so soon in the season, despite their collective fans cheering them on for a reunion during the premiere episode.

Both professionals in their own right, Lindsay and Halstead will instead be doing their collaborative duty as police officers, even as the sexual tension between them heats up the small screen.

On the other hand, the series' showrunners have already prepared a massive plot for Season 3 that will only be impeded by another "Linstead," so viewers will just have to wait and see.

Other speculations point toward Lindsay and Halstead, two of the most popular characters of the show, having a journey of sorts to go before they discover each other again and get into a better relationship the second time around, with Lindsay having to focus on healing herself first before she jumps into a second round with Halstead.

The season's fourth episode, "Debts of the Past" will put a spotlight on Sergeant Hank Voight (Jason Beghe), and the rest of the Chicago P.D. members as they start the hunt for a criminal released on a technicality.

The crook has begun targeting police officers as a form of payback and after an attack on Voight and Detective Alvin Olinsky (Elias Koteas), Voight finds out the felon is James Beckett (Mark Allen Stewart), a perp he put away for triple homicide 15 years ago.

Meanwhile, Officer Adam Ruzek (Patrick John Fueger) has just gotten engaged to Officer Kim Burgess (Marina Squerciati), but speculations have emerged their love story isn't going to be a bed of roses, if "Chicago P.D.'s past romantic unions have given any indication to audiences.

"Chicago P.D." will be returning to NBC on Wednesday, October 21 at 1:00 PM.
