In the previous episode 4, "Bone May Rot," Weller and Jane were in Hazmat suits trying to stop a couple who had deranged ideas of 'containing' humanity by spreading diseases and killing humans. Part of the episode was in the Center for Disease Control (CDC).

Here, Jane Doe mulls over who she is and her relationship with fellow agent, Kurt Weller, played by Sullivan Stapleton.

Meanwhile, at CDC, there is a lockdown. Jane asks Weller about the night she disappears. Weller says that his father was the prime suspect and Jane concludes that Weller is suffering from guilt because Jane had disappeared when he had been given the task of looking after her.

This week, personal matters take precedence as Jane is invited to Kurt Weller's house for dinner.

As revealed by photos released by NBC, viewers see Jane sitting down for dinner with Kurt, his wife Sarah and their child. Kurt is pouring a glass of wine for his wife Sarah and they talk. But soon, Jane says something she is not supposed to say and the situation gets awkward. A photo shows Weller with tight lips, looking at Jane as if she has said something wrong.

At the FBI, Thomas Carter, the boss, questions Bethany Mayfair over Jane as he suspects her loyalties. The scene shifts to a cemetery as everybody readies to shoot down a notorious criminal.

At this moment, Jane comes across an urn. Whose ashes does the urn contain is the burning question. Also the question of 'Daylight' remains.

With "Blindspot" getting a full-season order, there are a lot more episodes to go through before all this is unveiled.

Episode 5 of "Blindspot" titled, 'Split the Law' airs on 19 October on NBC.
