Cookie Monster 'Call Me Maybe' Parody Sweeps Internet (VIDEO)

A special video of "Sesame Street" the Cookie Monster has everyone online talking this week.

The famed Cookie Monster has added himself to the very long list of those who have made spoofs to Carly Rae Jepsen's "Call Me Maybe" by using kid-friendly and funny lyrics in the recent video.

Set in an office amongst coworkers, the Cookie Monster sings and dances about his favorite treat in the adorable video.

Instead of singing Jepsen's original lyrics, "Hey, I just met you, and this is crazy, but here's my number, so call me maybe," the Cookie Monster adds his own words to the song.

"Hey, me just met you, and this is crazy, but you got cookie, so share it maybe," sings the Sesame Street mainstay. "It hard to look at your snack baby, but you got cookie, so share it maybe."

Online users agree that the Cookie Monster's "Share It Maybe" is a hit. On YouTube, the video has over one million views just one day after posting.

"It's the perfect pick up line during kindergarten recess," joked YouTube user RedTag.

Jess posted, "Hate call me maybe!! Love Share it maybe!! My bro needs to learn from the cookie monster! Cookie monster is wise and shows us the wonderful world of cookies."

On Twitter, Cookie Monster became a trending topic on Tuesday.

Daniel wrote, "Cookie Monster's 'Call Me Maybe' parody is unquestionably today's best thing."

"Let's call it a day, it won't get better than this," wrote Jeff. "Cookie Monster sings 'Share It Maybe.'

"Full Disclosure," wrote Tim. "I sand (sic) this with my kids all night last night," while The Daily posted that the Cookie Monster's cover song was "awesome."

Dave posted, "Shut it down internet winner of the day!"
