Jana Duggar Dating Lawson Bates? Latest 'Counting On' News

"Counting On" fans are so eager to see Jana Duggar, 27, fall in love and get married. When the Duggar family visited their good friends, the Bates family from East Tennessee last week, a rumor began circulating that it's because Lawson Bates, 25, is courting Jana.

However, Gil and Kelly Bates from "Bringing Up Bates" are surprised by the rumor. Even though it would be nice to bring the two families together through a courtship, the Christian couple said there's no truth to it.

"I think that probably Lawson and Jana would both be shocked by that news, although we have heard that rumor," Kelly revealed in the Bates Family Blog. "They are very good friends but no courtships that either of our families are aware of."

Jana has been linked to several guys in the past, including former NFL star Tim Tebow. However, the reality star remains single to this day.

She earlier confessed to Crown of Beauty magazine that it's pretty difficult seeing her younger sisters get married and move out of the house, but she is choosing to trust God and His design for her life.

"Waiting is not always easy," she admitted. "Especially in those times when all the married siblings are getting together and you can't go along because you're not part of 'that' group. But waiting doesn't mean sitting and literally waiting. No, we need to be busy with where God has us...being content and joyfully serving Jesus there."

She understands that there are other Christian girls like her who are "still at home," and she offered them words of encouragement. Jana urged them to utilize their time to do "ministry opportunities everywhere, even within the walls of one's house."

"Wherever God has you now, just be faithful to reach out, encourage and serve those around you," she said.
