Center Andre Drummond was the night's top performer, as he dropped 25 points and 17 rebounds, shooting 10 out of 19 from the field, through 33 minutes of playing time.

Forward Marcus Morris, who nailed two triples in the fourth quarter, finished the game with 20 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists, shooting 8 out of 16 from the field, through 39 minutes of playing time.

For their part, the Mavericks believe that it is a matter of conquering the obstacles along the way.

"We always do some good things. We just made some bad mistakes here and there, and some bad possessions," said big man Dirk Nowitzki in an NBA.com report. "Some bad bounces, a missed rotation. When you're in a funk, you've got to play through your mistakes."

The Mavericks currently hold a win-loss slate of 36-38, and are situated at the number nine spot at the Western Conference standings, right behind the Houston Rockets. They will be coming into the game with a victory against the New York Knicks on Wednesday, with a final score of 91-89.

The Pistons, on the other hand, are situated at the number seven spot at the Eastern Conference standings, holding a record of 40-35. They have won five of their last six games.
