Daya Vaidya Expecting Identical Twins: Are They Born to Act?
Actress and "Unforgettable" star Daya Vaidya has announced that she is expecting identical twin boys in July. The actress is "beyond excited and doing great!" she tweeted.
Vaidya and husband Don Wallace are the proud parents of two-and-a-half-year-old Leela Grace. After the birth of Leela, Vaidya told Big City Moms, "The first time I held her" was the most memorable moment of being a mom. Now she will have the opportunity for more memorable moments as she welcomes two boys to the family.
The actress has appeared on both TV and the big screen, in such films as "April Fools" and "My Baby's Daddy." While she has had several guest appearances on hit TV series such as "NCIS" and "Lincoln Heights," it has been her role as lead detective Nina Inara on "Unforgettable" that makes her most memorable.

According to her website, "Daya's multi-cultural background and extensive training allow her to play a diverse range of ethnicities and races, making this 'third world child' far from generic. Whether it's dancing, acting, or catching a wave in the ocean, Daya pursues her life with focus, determination and most of all, with the abandon and wonderment of a little girl who knew what she wanted and wasn't afraid to dream, leap, and 'go for it.'"
She has had a very unique upbringing, moving from Nepal to California with her family when she was only three. Though she initially studied ballet, she found her love onstage and began performing in local plays such as "Annie," and "West Side Story."
According to About.com, the chance of having identical twins is about three in 1,000, as opposed to the rate of non-identical twins, which is 32 in 1,000.
Several sets of identical twins have gone on to have acting careers, which may come naturally to the family. Some famous identical twins include Deidre and Andrea Hall from "Days of Our Lives," Tia and Tamera Mowry "Sister, Sister" and Jill and Jacqueline Hennessy "Law and Order."
