Eminem Releases 'Rap God' Video Teaser Trailer VIDEO
Eminem's 'Rap God' music video should hit the internet and TV soon, but until then fans of the rapper will just have to settle for a 27 second teaser he released earlier this week.
He shot the video recently in his hometown Detroit, Michigan, according to a report from the Detroit Press. He also discussed the process of creating the concepts for his videos.
"I'm always imagining shooting video; visualizing the picture. What everything could, should look like," he said. "I'm always thinking about music videos and ideas, concepts. I do that for almost all of my songs."
He also touched on the meaning behind naming the album The Marshal Mathers LP 2.
"While recording the album, people who would hear a song would say it reminded them of the first time they heard me," he said. "The more I listened to it, the more it made sense to call it that.. We knew that if we called it that, we needed to have the right songs. There needs to be a certain kind of vibe."
The Marshal Mathers LP 2 launched on Nov. 5 and spawned 4 charting singles including 'Bezerk,' 'Rap God,' 'Monster,' and 'Survival.'
A good portion of the record was produced by Rick Rubin and the song 'Love Game' features a guest verse from Kendrick Lamar.
The album sold almost 800,000 copies in its first week and was certified platinum a few days ago.
He kicked off promotion for the album during the MTV Video Music Awards where he showed clips of his video for 'Bezerk' and premiered the full version later on ESPN later that week. He also released a video for 'Survival' around a month later.
