The impending season will look and feel different from the first one according to series creator Noah Hawley. "The look of it is much different. I found my way to '70s filmmaking paradigms," he said. "I had a much bigger cast [this year], and I wanted to keep track of all of them," he added. As for the pre-Reagan era being the backdrop of the new season, "I didn't just want the year to be the backdrop against which we did the story," he said. "I wanted to find the way that we experience America at the moment and turn it into a crime story," he added.

Actor Patrick Wilson spoke about the upcoming season. He said that this season will be unbelievably epic. He also said that only the way the story is told will be the same, and everything else will be completely different. Furthermore, he said that his character is more earnest than the weary man fans met in season 1.

Fargo will return on Oct.12 at 10 p.m. on FX.
