What To Expect

"Shiva" wants to explore on the tenuous bond of these people and how the trip on the Abigail was upsetting to them. However, the characters will to survive does not go with the decisions they make.

In a statement, showrunner Dave Erickson noted that this is the first time that the characters survive in a land and will have to find a way how to stay alive. He further added that there will be some close calls to everybody in the second season.

In the mid-season premiere that is coming up, most of them will pick things up on their own after they have experienced a dramatic split from each other. The events will leave Nick to go solo, while Travis (Cliff Curtis) and his son Chris, who is psychologically breaking will set off on their own. Furthermore, Madison, Alicia, Ofelia and Victor Strand will leave in a truck and will follow the fate that is not certain.

On the other hand, Nick will have himself to a solitary existence with the company of the dead. Erickson further explains that Nick has a certain comfort level with those who are dead. Madison cannot understand this and it is upsetting her. He further stated that the family leaves chaos every time they leave a certain place. This is despite how good their intentions may be.
