Floyd Mayweather Insists He Does Not Abuse Women

Floyd Mayweather is ready to end the speculation about him being abusive to women in his life.

Mayweather, the 36-year-old professional undefeated boxing champion across multiple weight classes, served a two month stint in prison for domestic abuse and harassment charges involving the mother of his children, Josie Harris. However, the professional fighter insists he does not abuse women.

"Okay, I just want to say, what I do for a living, I'm in a contact sport, right? And if they say someone had bodily harm done to 'em, since I'm already a fighter, before even giving me a chance, they're going to say. 'He's guilty,'" Mayweather said in S2S magazine recently. "Now, restraining a woman that's on drugs and alcohol, have I ever done that? Yes, from going crazy."

The fighter elaborated further.

"You know, to where they say, 'Okay, he's kicked and beat a woman,' but we've yet to have proof. Of course if Floyd Mayweather has brutally beaten a woman, you're going to show pictures," he insisted. "And like I always say, no disrespect to the Simpson family, but you've seen OJ and Nicole. No disrespect to Chris Brown and Rihanna, but you've seen Rihanna."

However, the mother of Mayweather's three children had a different story to tell Yahoo! Sports earlier this year.

"Did he beat me to a pulp?... No, but I had bruises on my body and contusions and [a] concussion because the hits were to the back of my head," Harris told Yahoo!. "I believe it was planned to do that because the bruises don't show."

Still, Mayweather maintained his innocence.

"But you've yet to see pictures of Floyd Mayweather and a battered woman," he told S2S. "And the thing is, if I'm beating all these women, why do so many women find me interesting and want to be within my circle?"
