'Fresh Off the Boat' Season 2 Episode 5 Spoilers and Episode 4 Recap: Halloween and Eddie's First School Dance

In the upcoming episode of "Fresh Off the Boat" entitled "Miracle on Dead Street," the official synopsis reads, "The family has big plans for Halloween: Louis wants to turn the street into a prime stop for trick-or-treaters; and Louis, Eddie, Emery, Evan and Grandma Huang go all-out with their costumes. Jessica, meanwhile, tries to protect her investment property from pranksters."

The series has gotten a full second season order from ABC, which means that there will be 22 episodes in this current season. The series has been doing well, ratings wise, and has gained in viewership since its debut.

In the current season, Jessica will go into a business with her friend and neighbor Honey. Executive producer Nahnatchka Khan spoke about it. "An opportunity presents itself to the two of them, and they decide, kind of spur-of-the-moment, to embrace it," she said. She added that there will be some holiday-themed episodes especially one for the Chinese New Year in February.

In the previous episode, it began with Eddie and his friends as they prepared for their first-ever school dance. It was rite of passage for hormonal middle schoolers everywhere. Louis never got to experience his own dance so when the principal of the school called and asked Louis to bring food, he dropped everything and rushed home.

Louis learned all about American dances from movies that he watched with Jeremy Lin. Eddie wanted to make his first dance awesome. Dancing was the essential element in a standard dance. This meant an off-beat body roll to Shaggy's best song "Boombastic." Then it was time to pick an outfit. Eddie's outfit was a classic dress shirt, a jersey and unlaced Timberland shoes.

At the night of the dance, Eddie opted to stay home, while his friends went because he was afraid to get the girl. Louis gave him a pep talk and he ended up going to the dance. Everything worked out in the end.

In the meantime, Jessica was trying to mend her relationship with Grandma Huang, and in the process get a loan from her. Jessica attempted to do so by being nice. At first, nothing worked, but eventually, Grandma Huang caved and decided to help Jessica and Honey in their business.

"Fresh Off the Boat" airs every Tuesday.
