'Frozen 2' Updates, Plot Rumors: Fans Reveal Theories About Sequel's Story

Queen Elsa and Princess Anna are still out of the big screens. Disney has not yet announced anything official on what fans should expect from "Frozen 2." Nonetheless, fans are hoping that writers will pick up some of their stories and theories.

One of the most popular theories these days is Elsa getting a romantic arc. As fans know, it was only Princess Anna who found love in the first movie. If things work out well for Queen Elsa, she may finally find someone to spend forever with.

It is speculated that Elsa and Olaf may become lovers in "Frozen 2." The theories suggest that Elsa's love for Olaf will turn him into a human. Once Olaf takes his human form, the two may soon fall in love. However, Disney has not commented on this matter yet.

Elsewhere, fans are still hoping that Tarzan will be included in the story of the highly anticipated sequel. While this theory has already been debunked, fans are wishing for the Jungle King to be included in the story as the long lost brother of the Arendelle sisters. For now, moviegoers can only wait for official word on the synopsis for the upcoming film.

Meanwhile, new reports suggest that "Frozen 2" may be released sometime in 2019. This is because Disney has big reboot set for release next year. The live action adaptation of "Mulan" is currently in development and recently, a director has been tapped for the film.

Other rumors suggest that Disney may also add "Cars" and "The Incredibles" in its 2017-2018 line up. This means that "Frozen 2" may be put on hold to prioritize the mentioned franchises. This is bad news for fans who have been expecting the sequel to come out this year.

On the other hand, Kristen Bell said last year that she is expecting to start recording sometime early this year. So far, there's been no news if the cast and crew have rallied to kick off production for "Frozen 2."
