Galaxy S4 Android 4.4.2, KitKat Update Rolls Out for T-Mobile

The Samsung Galaxy S4 Android 4.4.2, KitKat update is now rolling out to T-Mobile customers.

The update is now available over-the-air and weighs in at 388MB. It brings a modified version of Android KitKat OS with a few Samsung specific tweets.

It will bring improved stability, a new camera shortcut on the lock screen and a better on-screen keyboard. The update can also be downloaded manually through Samsung KIES. T-Mobile suggests that those downloading KitKat to their phone should be running the latest version of KIES. The device should also have about 50 percent charge since installation can be draining. It is also available for the International variant of the Galaxy S4 in Russia and India. Users can check for it manually if they haven't received a notification in the Settings menu.
