'Game of Thrones' Update: Is Khal Drogo Coming Back? Fans Go Crazy Over Jason Momoa's Recent "Aloha Drogo" Instagram Update

Jason Momoa, more popularly known as Khal Drogo of "Game of Thrones", hints at a comeback through Instagram.

"Game of Thrones" (GoT) fans may still be having some major hangover since the show's season finale on June 2016. Those who follow the social media accounts of the show's cast may have stumbled upon this.

Fans are now arguing over Jason Momoa's mysterious Instagram update posted on Saturday. Part of its caption read: 'ALOHA DROGO'.

Mamoa, who plays the role of Khal Drogo, shook the world of hopeful GoT followers, as the word "Aloha" has a confusing, double connotation—hello and goodbye.

But if one looks closely at the photo, it can be inferred that the fans' speculation may be correct.

The photo shows Momoa, with his beard filled with beer foam, with GoT producers D.B. Weiss and David Benioff. Another clue is the location of the photo, which says Ireland. It's a known fact that "Game of Thrones" was filmed on a lot of North Ireland's hot spots in recent season releases. Both Weiss and Benioff are also reported to be in Ireland for the series' seventh season.

The question is, could the hints really mean that Drogo is indeed returning? And so, the plot thickens.

Khal Drogo GoT Highlights

Khal Drogo's appearance on "Game of Thrones" may be very brief, but it was one of the most unforgettable parts of the show. Khal Drogo, the Dothraki ruler, was Khaleesi Daenerys Targaryen's companion in Season 1. Emilia Clarke gave life to the character Khaleesi, or the Mother of Dragons.

The series revolves around how their marriage was arranged by Khaleesi's brother, Viserys Targaryen and Illyrio Mopatis, who both hoped to claim higher power through Drogo's Dothraki pack.

Hints from Momoa

Momoa shared similar signs on Instagram about a quick callback on Season 2 through Daenerys' vision in the House of the Undying. Could Momoa's recent Instagram post call for another Khaleesi vision?

What we all have in hand right now are a series of Instagram photos of Mamoa in Ireland and one of him with the GoT team plus a cyptic caption. But these are enough to heighten the anticipation of fans.

Mamoa's followers are also optimistic that Drogo will come back in the flesh next season. After all, anything can happen in GoT. A similar surprising twist happened when Jon Snow returned from the dead. Can't the Dothraki warlord do the same?

While the clues point to Drogo's possible reappearance, nothing is sure at the moment. GoT Season 7 is still on its pre-production stage, which means that no cameras have started to roll.

One thing is certain, though—Momoa's teaser already caused so much stir for the GoT fans.

If anything, Game of Thrones is one show that will always keep its viewers on their toes. This may just be another one of those roller coaster rides that leave everybody hanging. Or is it?
