'Ghostbusters' News: 'Thor' Star Chris Hemsworth to Take Comedic Role

Fans can expect to see a different side of Chris Hemsworth in the upcoming "Ghostbusters" reboot.

Joining a cast full of comedians, the man behind the Marvel character Thor will bring a fun surprise for his fans when he takes a comedic role for the upcoming film. His co-worker Melissa McCarthy shared some information about Hemsworth during an interview, as reported by The Daily Telegraph.

McCarthy teased that Hemsworth's role will be fun to watch as it bring out another side to the popular Marvel actor. She explained that Hemsworth was quick with his improvisation and was able to keep up with the other female comedians present in the movie.

The actress stated, 'Chris crushes in the movie, he is so funny it's crazy. Truly, I could not get over how good he was, there's all this footage of us sitting there laughing so hard we were crying, ruining our make-up. I'm absolutely crazy about him.'

While the upcoming "Ghostbusters" remake is expected to present an all-female group of ghost hunters, Hemsworth will be taking on the role of the receptionist in the upcoming film. The trailer showed Hemsworth's character Kevin entering the office to ask about the opening for a receptionist. Luckily, his good looks were able to land him the job.

Meanwhile, it was reported that another familiar face will be joining the ladies in the big screen. Original cast member of the "Ghostbusters" Bill Murray will be making an appearance in the upcoming film. The confirmation was made by Paul Feig, the director of the upcoming film. He also revealed that other members of the original cast such as Sigourney Weaver and Dan Aykroyd will be present in the role as well. However, their roles have yet to be announced.

"Ghostbusters" is expected to release in theaters this Jul. 15.
