'Gotham' Season 2 News, Cast, Spoilers: Penguin Looks to Save His Mother

"Gotham" is certainly bringing in the action early into the season. Only seven episodes in and suprising deaths of characters have already occured, while the city has already been set in chaos. It seems that the entrance of the Galavan twins has certainly been a turning point for the evil in the city as they wasted no time to get the evil ball rolling.

In the last episode, many events left viewers wondering about what's to come in episode 7. According to the brief synopsis by Comic Book, it seems that a lot of action will unfold as Penguin will be off to rescue his mother from the kidnappers. It's expected that the Penguin will be able to track down the warehouse where his mother, Gertrude, is being held, with the help of Butch. However, this help may seem a little dubious since Butch had already been tampered with in a way by Tabitha, after she had tortured him a bit to try and switch sides. However, whatever Butch's intention might be, it seems that Penguin will be able to retrieve Gertrude and continue on to plot revenge against Theo Galavan for what he has done.

In the next episode, it is also expected that Nygma will be dealing further with his conscience as his careless action of killing Ms. Kringle may finally trigger his "Riddler" tendencies. However, it hasn't been revealed yet what Nygma's next steps are.

As for Jim Gordon, he will be in a bind himself as his job requires him to go after Penguin. Viewers of the show know that Jim somehow owes the Penguin since he is the reason Jim has a job to begin with. Aside from his dilemma with the Penguin, Jim will figure things out on Theo Galavan. It may seem that Theo's true intentions will come to light in Jim's perspective soon enough in the next episode.

Fans can catch the next episode entitled "Mommy's Little Monster" when "Gotham" airs on Monday at 8 p.m. ET/PT on FOX.
