'Grand Theft Auto 6' news and release date: Eva Mendes might play lead female role

There have been rumors concerning the features of the upcoming installment of the "Grand Theft Auto" revealing the plot and features that fans can expect.

"Grand Theft Auto 6" is expected to introduce a female character, which aims to connect to female players. This was confirmed by the founder of Rockstar Studios Dan Houser. He explained that they did not include a female character before because they did not have the right character to include in the story. It was speculated that the female character will be voiced by Eva Mendes. Her husband, Ryan Gosling, will allegedly join her as the lead role.

Along with the character, it was speculated that a new map will be featured in the new title. It was reported that there is a possible new map that will feature a world that compiles previous maps of the Grand Theft Auto series. The area is expected to be in the southwest, therefore including Las Venturas. Fans are also hoping that the map will feature the whole United States.

The detail about the map has not yet been confirmed. However, House said, "Of course at some point we would like to have one big world containing all our cities and let the player fly between them and revisit their favorite areas."

The president of Rockstar Studios, Leslie Benzies stated that the features of the title have yet to be finalized. However, he did state that they have interesting ideas in store for the title. Therefore, it can be assumed that the game is still in its early phases.

Meanwhile, speculations state that the game will bring back the six-star wanted level, which will allow players to be up against the FBI. It will also innovate the presentation of the characters' lives.

The game is expected to be released on PlayStation and PC by 2018. However, other speculations state that the title will be released by 2020.
