'Grey's Anatomy' Season 10 Actress Chandra Wilson to Guest Star on 'General Hospital'

Chandra Wilson, star of ABC's hit medical drama "Grey's Anatomy" is set to play another medical role, as she will be guest starring on "General Hospital."

In an interview with Soaps In Depth, Wilson spoke about how much she's wanted to play a role on the popular soap opera.

"I've watched General Hospital for 35 years," Wilson tells the magazine. "I grew up with it. It holds such a place in my heart. Even though we've shared the same lot for 10 years I can't talk to anybody on the lot. ... It's weird to see them because they're supposed to be in Port Charles! I have that kind of fan disconnect," the actress said.

"I've been talking about this for years!" she added.

Chandra Wilson also explained how she managed to land the guest role when talking to Soaps In Depth.

Roger [Howarth] was visiting the Grey's set and we talked about it. Then, the following Friday, I got the call. I asked Frank [Valentini, GH's executive producer] if this was because of Roger and he said, 'No. This has been in the works before.' So I don't know! But I'm glad it's happening!" the actress said.

In other "Grey's Anatomy" news, the actor who plays Jackson, Jesse Williams, recently revealed some spoilers.

Williams recently sat down for an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, where he discussed how his characters actions during the midseason finale, objecting during the wedding, will play out when the show returns.

"You'll see it came as a huge surprise for Jackson, and that it wasn't premeditated. It was just a compulsion to blurt it out. Sometimes when you act impulsively, you have a 'WTF did I just do' moment, and we're going to see that. I cant say what April's response is going to be, but I can say that Jackson is going to have a, 'Oh my God, what have I gotten myself into?' moment at some stage in the very near future. Anytime you think there's solid ground, it turns out to be slippery," Williams said.

The second half of this season of "Grey's Anatomy" will return to ABC on Thursday Feb. 27.
