Halo 5 Release Date, News: Upcoming Game Installment to Arrive in the Fourth Quarter of 2015?

While Halo fans are excited for the upcoming release of Halo: The Master Chief Collection, scheduled early next month, the gaming world is still yet waiting for the launching of the shooter game's fifth installment, Halo 5: Guardians.

In a report by Cyberland, Halo 5 is slated to hit the shelves in the fourth quarter of 2015.

However, fans won't have to wait that long to get a glimpse of what the forthcoming installment would look like. As reported, 343 Industries Head Bonnie Ross shared that news that a beta version of the game will launch within this year, most probably in December.

"We are intentionally putting out the beta a year early so we actually can get fans' feedback to make sure that we are building the multiplayer that they want to play," Ross said in a separate interview with Dualshocker.

Meanwhile, latest rumblings indicated 343 Industries' Frank O'Connor shedding light on some rumors regarding the well-loved Master Chief with Game Rant.

He revealed that indeed, the Chief is going to be both "the main character" as well as "the hero."

Other casting rumors pointed out Mike Colter's Agent Locke playing a significant role in Guardians, "not just a character but a primary one."

"Yeah, I'm a playable character in Halo 5. Once Halo: The Master Chief Collection is released, and then Halo 5 comes out shortly thereafter, you're basically going to be playing a game with me as the primary character," he said.
