'Heroes of the Storm' News: Junkrat Now Live in the PTR; Players Can Check Out His Different Abilities

Junkrat will remain in the PTR until Oct. 16

"Overwatch's" Junkrat is known for being unusually and disturbingly fond of explosives a little too much, and now, he is bringing that atypical obsession of his to the Nexus. Junkrat is the newest addition to "Heroes of the Storm's" roster, and players can now check out what he can do.

Junkrat is staying true to himself inside his new home.

His Hero Trait is known as Total Mayhem. This trait will be activated whenever Junkrat falls in battle and will lead to five grenades exploding around him. Opponents unfortunate enough to situated near the fallen Junkrat will suffer damage from the exploding grenades.

Moving on now to Junkrat's Primary Abilities. In the game, he will be able to use Concussion Mines. Concussion Mines can inflict some significant damage and also knock opponents back. Junkrat's Hero Trait can also be utilized to activate it.

Next up, Junkrat also likes to whip out his Frag Launcher inside "Heroes of the Storm." The Frag Launcher allows him to hurl grenades at his opponents at high speeds.

The last of Junkrat's Primary Abilities is the Steel Trap, and this can deal damage as well as keep an opponent in place.

Junkrat's two Heroic Abilities are capable of really hurting his opponents in the game.

With the RIP-Tire ability, Junkrat can take control of a motorized explosive that can deal as much as 750 points of damage.

Lastly, Junkrat can also use his Rocket Ride ability to hit opponents with 780 points of damage. Aside from that, the Total Mayhem trait will be activated too, which means even more destruction will be caused.

Players can try out Junkrat while he is available in the Public Test Realm until Oct. 16.

Junkrat should then be added to the live version of "Heroes of the Storm" following his stint in the PTR.
