Hong Kong-based Company Has Released a Fidget Spinner Phone With Expandable Memory

The year of 2017 is quite possibly the most progressive time for technology. Smartphone giants have begun integrating features such as virtual reality and OLED display. However, while Apple and other tech giants are keeping themselves busy with developing the most high-tech phones in the market, a Hong Kong-based company called Chili may have slightly different priorities, as reports reveal that they have released a phone that doubles as a fidget spinner.

The fidget spinner phone first appeared on a Reddit thread, which features the red version of the mobile device. The photo of the post clearly depicts that tiny but colored screen. The Chili fidget spinner phone features a 1.4-inch screen, expandable memory for up to 8 GB, 32 MB internal storage, and support for Bluetooth and web browsing. It also comes in six colors and is equipped with a dual SIM option. It is now available for sale in India.

"We see India as one the fastest growing markets for cell phones with the second largest population in the world," Michael Feng, India sales head of Chilli International, said in a statement, as reported by Quartz India. "Our focus for the quarter in on strengthening our brand in the Indian soil."

The fidget spinner phone is meant to help its users relieve their anxiety. And although the myth has been debunked by researchers, the fidget spinner toy remains to be one of the most popular toys released in 2017. Considering how the phone version from Chili only costs $20 and is capable of providing for basic communication needs, fans of the toy might just want to own one.

Aside from the Chili fidget spinner phone, other versions have been made by other companies, and a wide array of options is currently available on Amazon. Although some fans found it disturbing, it might just be the right smartphone for those who like what the fidget spinner toy can do.
