'House of Cards' Twitter Account Posts Special Message from White House
The third season of the hugely-popular political thriller series now finally has a definite release date.
To the delight of the many fans, the show's official Twitter account recently posted a tweet (with a photo) which says:
"A special message from the White House."
The series is set to premiere its third season on Feb. 27, 2015. The photo depicts the well-loved (and feared) Francis "Frank" Underwood (Kevin Spacey) and his wife Claire (Robin Wright) on their way to board what looks like Air Force One.
It's the aircraft that is specially and officially commissioned by the U.S. government to carry the President on flights.
Like he always has in the past seasons, Underwood breaks the fourth wall again as he is seen staring straight into the camera with his signature steely gaze during the promo.
Not much has been known about what the "House of Cards" Season 3 will delve in. Underwood will carry on in his duties as the most powerful man in the free world and will most likely face yet another series of political challenges, possibly concerning international dealings.
"Since the first two seasons focused on his attempts at becoming the President, season 3 will likely show what Frank wants to do with the country and the world," Hypable.com speculated.
Like the prior seasons, the third season is reported to also be comprised of 13 brand new episodes which will stream on Netflix.
