Houston Astros vs LA Dodgers Live Stream (Fox): Watch MLB World Series 2017 Game 1 Online

The Houston Astros and the Los Angeles Dodgers will battle it out in Game 1 of the 2017 World Series on Tuesday night, and after a long, hard season it all comes down to two teams and this best of seven series. The game has a scheduled start time of 8.09 p.m. ET and takes place from Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, California. The game can be watched on TV on the Fox network, or online through live stream (details below).

The Dodgers have home field advantage in this series and that could be a bigger advantage than it seems, as this October home teams have overwhelmingly come out on top. Cumulative results through the postseason have seen home teams come out on top 23-8, and both the Dodgers and Astros have been major players in that trend.

The Dodgers have gone 4-0 at home through the Playoffs this season, and even in the regular season they posted an impressive 57-24 at Dodger Stadium.

Meanwhile, the Astros are also perfect at home this postseason, going 6-0 in Houston and every game in their seven game series against the New York Yankees going with the home team.

However, make no mistake, these have been two of the best teams in the MLB all season long, with both teams breaking the 100 wins mark through the season, with the Dodgers posting 104 compared to the Astros 101. That means this will be the first postseason series between two 100+ win teams since 1977 (in that instance it was the New York Yankees and the Kansas City Royals).

The Dodgers must find a way to nullify the Houston sluggers, as the Astros led the MLB with an average of 5.53 runs per game through the regular season. They also hit .478 as a team, which is the highest since the Boston Red Sox team of 2003.

The Astros hitters were amazingly quiet though through the ALCS and they must find their groove again here if they are to claim the World Series from the LA Dodgers. Against the Yankees in the ALCS the Astros only managed an average of under three runs per game. Indeed they only scored 9 runs through the opening five games of the series.

There were signs that they were getting back to their best though, as they smashed 11 runs in the decisive two games of the ALCS; both of which were elimination games for Houston.

Meanwhile, the Dodgers bullpen has been extraordinary this postseason so far, and if they can continue their dominance then they could squeeze the life out of this Houston offense.

Through their eight postseason games, the Dodgers bullpen has posted a stunning 0.94 ERA with 32 strikeouts and just two walks. They bring a postseason record streak of 23 consecutive scoreless innings into this World Series.
