Houston Astros vs New York Yankees Live Stream Today (FS1): Watch MLB Playoffs 2017 ALCS Game 5 Online

The Houston Astros and the New York Yankees have a pivotal match up scheduled for Wednesday afternoon in Game 5 of their MLB Playoffs 2017 American League Championship Series. The game has a scheduled start time of 5.08 p.m. ET and takes place from Yankee Stadium in New York City. The game can be watched on TV on the FS1 network or online through live stream (details below).

The Yankees have done fantastically well to comeback into this series. Having gone 0-2 down in Houston, they knew there was next to no room for mistakes from here on out, and after two games at Yankee Stadium they have leveled the series back to 2-2 and reduced this series effectively to a best of three contest from here on out.

Today's game once again will be at Yankee Stadium before things return to Houston for the final two games. That means the pressure is still on the Yankees to win here in Game 5, as they dare not go 2-3 down facing two road games in Houston needing to win two straight elimination games.

The Yankees will want to maintain momentum to go 3-2 up, putting themselves in the position to know they would have two chances to win one of the road games when things return to Houston.

That means today's game could be pivotal in deciding who claims the pennant this year and who will progress to the World Series 2017.

The Astros will be sending out Dallas Keuchel for today's big game. He is 6-2 with an amazing 1.09 ERA in his eight career starts against the New York Yankees. If he maintains that excellent form then the Yankees could be in trouble here today.

Keuchel of course already pitched in Game 1 of this series, where he threw seven shutout innings and struck out 10 Yankee batters to beat Tenaka in Houston.

Yankee manager Joe Girardi has opted to look on the bright side of facing Keuchel for a second time this series, saying: "Hopefully, seeing him twice in one series, our guys are able to adjust a little quicker."

Meanwhile, the Yankees will send Masahiro Tanaka out to the mound for Game 5, hoping that facing Keuchel at home in Yankee Stadium will allow him to get the better of his rival and gain a degree of revenge for that Game 1 loss.

The Yankees are 5-0 at Yankee Stadium this postseason, and they will be hoping if they can go one more here today then they will have one foot in the World Series.

Girardi has said, "Every home game has been special. I just feel like the fans are back. And I see things that I haven't in a while, and it reminds me a lot of when I was playing here."
