Houston Rockets vs. Cleveland Cavaliers Preview: Rockets Looking To Avenge Previous Loss

The Houston Rockets are looking to even the regular season series with the Cleveland Cavaliers, as both teams face each other for the second time.

The said game will be taking place on Tuesday, March 29th, at the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland. The first time Houston and Cleveland met each other was on January 15th, with the Rockets hosting. But it was the tag-team performance from both Kyrie Irving and LeBron James that helped the Cavaliers earn the victory with a final score of 91-77.

Heading into the game, Cleveland was coming off a loss against the San Antonio Spurs a day prior, with a final score of 99-95. Which is why James was adamant in winning their game against Houston, as if he was out to prove something.

"We knew this team was waiting on us and probably seen the game from last night and how much energy it took out of us, but we just came in with the mindset that we had to defend," James said in an NBA.com report. "We had to cut the head off the snake, and that's (James) Harden, and then just try to defend everyone else at the same time and we did that."

Irving ended the game with 23 points, along with four rebounds, shooting 9 out of 17 from the field, through 29 minutes of playing time. James, on the other hand, scored 19 points, along with seven rebounds and seven assists, shooting 7 out of 14 from the field, through 36 minutes of playing time.

Kevin Love also put up significant numbers, ending the night with a double-double. He scored 11 points, along with 13 rebounds and three steals, through 32 minutes of playing time.

The Cavaliers are seated at the top spot of the Eastern Conference standings with a win-loss tally of 52-21. The Rockets, on the other hand, are at the number eight spot at the Western Conference rankings, holding a 36-38 record.
