How Mama June's Weight Loss Affected Honey Boo Boo, Pumpkin and Sugar Bear

For people under the limelight, it is but normal for them to gain or lose weight in a snap of a finger for some important roles. But when Mama June Shannon loses weight drastically and shocks everyone, it's definitely a big deal, most especially for the people around her.

First of all, how did she manage such a feat? She had a dramatic shift from 460 pounds to a size 4, so she must be eating or omitting something. Her trainer Kenya Crooks shared with People how she cleverly started losing weight.

For starters, she had to swap soda with fruit-infused water. "For people who don't like to drink water by itself, what we've done is we've thrown some strawberries and kiwi in there," Crooks explains. "It's really good, and it helps you get it down a whole lot faster."

She also had to replace unhealthy sweets with watermelon as an alternative. "The cool thing about watermelon is that it's basically 92 percent liquid. It satisfies your sweet tooth, but you can also pee-pee that thing right out," Crooks adds.

Lastly, Mama June was encouraged to swap potato chips with fruits, particularly apple chips or grapes. Basically, she slashed her sugar intake by a mile, and that has certainly helped her craving.

How did this affect her daughters? If anything, it had a positive impact. According to Daily Mail, Honey Boo Boo a.k.a. Alana Thompson and Pumpkin a.k.a. Lauryn Thompson have lost weight. They each lost seven and four pounds respectively, which shows their mom is becoming their inspiration.

As for her ex Sugar Bear, E! News reports that his soon-to-be newly wedded wife Jennifer flipped when she saw Mama June. Jennifer wanted her out of her house as she didn't want any commotion. Was this because Mama June has history or is it because of her new bod? No one knows for sure, but the gloves are off.
