HTC One S PowerSkin Case Extends Battery Life by Absorbing Shock

PowerSkin, a new silicon case for the HTC One S, can extend talk time by almost four hours, according to PowerSkin, the company who created the accessory.

This HTC One S accessory features 1500mAh battery boosting power by absorbing shock and converting it into raw power for the smartphone.

"With the One S being one of HTC's fastest phones launched to date, it requires an incredible pull from the battery. The speed is impressive for any user, so we wanted to make sure we provided a solution to keep people charged and connected on the go," said Christian Haze, Product Manager for XPAL Power/PowerSkin in a press release.

The slim-fitting silicone case is described by Haze as being "ruggedly durable."

Some of its other features include an on/off button that allows users to choose when they want to activate a charge, LED lights that indicate the battery level and charge status, and the ability to sync the phone directly to computers with the cable that is included with the accessory.

PowerSkin creates these silicone cases for many popular smartphones including iPhones, Android, RIM and Windows devices.

The technology used by the case is patented by XPAL Power, a company that is a subsidiary of TennRich international, a California-based corporation.

The HTC One S PowerSkin went on sale earlier this week and can be found at www.Power-Skin.com. Those purchasing the accessory can take advantage of a $10 discount by using the promo code: PSHTC123.

It retails for $69.99.

Customers can also learn more about PowerSkin and its products by visiting the company's website.

The HTC One S launched earlier this year and is currently available through T-Mobile.

It is one of the first smartphones on the carrier to feature Android 4.0, Ice Cream Sandwich.
