Huawei Mate 7S Release Date Just Around the Corner? Alleged Specs Leaked

Currently sitting at the third spot in overall smartphone sales worldwide, Huawei has successfully been deploying quality but slightly affordable devices to the market. In spite the success it has been enjoying, it seems the company is still eager to provide more mobile phone options for its consumers.

According to a recent report by GSM Arena, an unannounced Huawei device has just been leaked online along with its alleged specs.

Dubbed as the Huawei Mate 7S, the smartphone is a semi-flagship device, borrowing some features and specs from both the midrange and flagship divisions. Based on the leaked details, the Huawei handset will boast a huge 5.7-inch display that has Full HD or 1920 x 1080 resolution. Considering this decision by Huawei to include "only" a 1080p screen, it means the company is not considering the device as a flagship.

In addition to the screen, the smartphone boasts some impressive specifications, such as 3GB of RAM, Huawei's very own HiSilicon Kirin 935 chipset, an octa-core CPU clocked at up to 2.1 GHz, and Mali-T628MP4 GPU to work wonders in the graphics processing department.

Another highlight of the Huawei Mate 7S is its alleged 20MP primary camera and an 8MP front shooter.

However, based on previous rumors, the Huawei Mate 7S (or simply Mate S), packs a QHD or 2K (2560 x 1440) resolution, and would only get a 13MP primary snapper at the back. Obviously, these were not mentioned in the huge leak reported, and so this could lead us to believe that the most latest leak could be the most reliable.

Aside from the semi-midranger/flagship Mate 7S, Huawei is also expected to launch the successor to its popular Mate 7, which made its debut last year. Huawei Mate 8, as it has been referred to in rumors, would boast some high-end specs, some of which allegedly include a Snapdragon 810 chipset, 4GB of RAM, and a 2K display as well.

Unfortunately, there are no official details or announcements yet from Huawei when the device would be unveiled, though it's probably within September or October.
