IHOP Special 2016: Pancakes Offered Almost for Free to Celebrate Chain's 58th Anniversary; History, Menu and Price Details

In celebration of the chain's 58th anniversary, IHOP will offer its short stack of pancakes for a cheaper price on July 12

Compared with its regular price of $3.99, the world-famous original buttermilk pancakes will be sold for only 58 cents. The offer will be available from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at IHOP restaurants nationwide on the said date. The freebie is available for dine-ins only and is limited to one short stack of three buttermilk pancakes per guest.

IHOP History
International House of Pancake opened its first location in 1958 in the suburbs of Los Angeles. Fifteen years later, the acronym IHOP was introduced by a new marketing campaign. iHop has then became a popular family restaurant chain to enjoy breakfast in any time of the day.

The restaurant has then earned many success through the growing years. Here are some highlights in its 58 years of bringing happiness and creating memories.

1958 – Founders Al and Jerry Lapin, along with early investors Al and Trudy Kallis, open the first International House of Pancakes in the Los Angeles suburb of Toluca Lake, California.
1985 – The Rooty Tooty Fresh 'N Fruity® is introduced, and guests across the country have fun pronouncing the one-of-a-kind breakfast. Actor Cliff Bemis also becomes an IHOP favorite.
1993 – Average sales per IHOP restaurant exceeds $1 million.
2003 – The award-winning "Come hungry. Leave happy." advertising campaign launches, and IHOP introduces the popular Stuffed French Toast.
2008 – IHOP celebrates 50! From their humble beginnings in Toluca Lake, California they have become one of America's favorite restaurants, with over 1,400 locations coast to coast.
2011 – IHOP celebrates its sixth National Pancake Day. In just six years, IHOP has raised $8 million and becomes inaugural leader in Kids LiveWell initiative.
2015 – IHOP celebrates a decade of giving with the 10th Annual National Pancake Day. A record-breaking $3.5 million is raised, bringing the 10-year total to nearly $20 million for charity. IHOP introduces ita new logo.

The undisputed breakfast leader celebrates 58 years or almost six decades of being a part of every family and friend's memories around the world, with almost 1,700 branches in total in every U.S. state, the District of Columbia, Mexico, the Philippines, the United Arab Emirates and many other global locations.
