'Dr. Ken' Episode 2 Spoilers and Pilot Recap: Clark Gets Promoted; Dr. Ken Introduced

In the next episode of "Dr. Ken" entitled "The Seminar," the official synopsis reads, "Clark gets a promotion, but Ken doesn't even notice because of his selfishness, so Clark files a phony complaint that forces Ken to attend a seminar to correct his bedside manner, leaving Allison alone for dinner with Ken's parents."

The new series had a rather solid debut since it premiered last Friday and it even led in the ratings during its time slot. The show picks up from its popular lead in "Last Man Standing" as it builds up ratings. The series was created, written, and co-produced by Ken Jeong and he also happens to be a doctor in real life.

The pilot episode began with a patient who told Doctor Ken that it was hemorrhoids. Doctor Ken recommended the patient to get a colonoscopy, but the patient complained that was just a hemorrhoid.

Doctor Ken's wife Allison was a therapist and he laid down on her couch and he talked to her about their daughter. She said that he was worried about their daughter passing the driver's test and that their daughter needed freedom. Ken disagreed with his wife and said that their daughter needed duct tape.

Meanwhile, their son Dave was rehearsing to the song "Roar" by Katy Perry. Ken was exasperated and he thought his son's mime routine was really lame. Molly, their daughter, arrived home rather excited since she had passed her driving test. Molly than asked her dad if she could borrow his car and at first he said not but he eventually relented.

Ken's co-workers suggested that he install the daughter tracker app on his phone so that he could monitor her whereabouts. He did much to the contention of his wife Allison, who was annoyed that he did not trust their daughter.

Later on, Ken ended up at a rave as he looked for his daughter and he ended up getting arrested because the undercover cop thought he was buying drugs. He was bailed out by Allison and Molly. Molly had changed her mind about the rave.

In Dave's school, Ken stood behind his son as he performed a mime routine to Katy Perry's "Roar" and he did it in his own unique way.

"Dr. Ken" airs every Friday.
