The Bulls are 9-4 after their first 13 games to hold second place in the division, while the Pacers are at 9-5 and are only half a game behind the Illinois club.

Both teams are trailing the Cleveland Cavaliers in the standings and the winner of this match gets solo second place in the division.

The Pacers have been very impressive as of late as they have won their last three matches heading into this battle with the Bulls.

Indiana beat the Philadelphia 76ers, Milwaukee Bucks and the Washington Wizards and will now try to avenge their earlier loss to the Bulls.

On the other hand, Chicago recently toppled Western Conference's Portland Trail Blazers at the Moda Center and will try to end their consecutive road games with a win against the Pacers.

As stated above, the two teams have already met earlier this season at the United Center, with the Bulls taking a slim 96-95 win.

The contest was entertaining from start to finish, with the Bulls taking an early lead after the first quarter.

However, the Pacers slowly cut the lead down – outscoring the Bulls for the last three quarters but were just one point shy of tying the game as they went down with a loss.

Paul George led the Pacers in a losing effort as he had 26 points and seven rebounds, while Derrick Rose finished with 23 points and two rebounds but had six assists in the game.
